The theme of immigration and immigrant life has been present in the shaping of America and has remained a powerful reality in today’s American consciousness, Partings is another link in the story of American immigrant life.
In remote villages throughout Northern Macedonia, mothers and grandmothers sung acapela lullabies which were then reinterpreted by eleven artists worldwide, who by injecting a taste of their own musical heritage in the new arrangements.
This musical albem will consist of modern interpretations of 19th century folk songs about Macedonian women.
